Annual benefits enrollment

Annual Benefits Enrollment for fiscal year 2025 was July 15-31, 2024 and is now closed. See information at right about qualified change of status events for any benefit changes outside of Annual Enrollment.
Annual Benefits Enrollment is the once-a-year chance to change benefit choices for you and your dependents for the next plan year, which starts Sept. 1, 2024. See details of all benefits offered this year on the UT System Office of Employee Benefits Annual Enrollment website.
What’s changing this year?
- Monthly premiums have increased for the UT SELECT Medical plan for both full-time and part time employees.
- Full-time employees – Employee plus Spouse, Employee plus Children and Employee plus Family premiums have increased. There is no increase for employee-only coverage, which remains $0.
- Part-time employees – All coverages have increased for fiscal year 2025.
- DentalCare Dental HMO premiums have decreased for all coverages.
- During this year’s Annual Enrollment, no Evidence of Insurability is required for Blue Cross Blue Shield Short-Term and Long-term Disability coverage. Employees are encouraged to consider this benefit as part of financial continuity should it be needed for a longer-term illness.
- The maximum contribution limit for the UT Flex Health Care Reimbursement account (HCRA) has increased from $3,050 to $3,200. Dependent care maximum remains $5,000 per family. This allows employees to reduce their taxable income. You must make elections in My UT Benefits each year to participate. New plan administrator starting Sept. 1, 2024 is Inspira Financial.
