Instrumentation (CAUMA)

The CAUMA facility owns three Beckman Optima analytical Ultracentrifuges. Two instruments are equipped with UV/visible absorbance and Rayleigh interference optics, while the third is equipped with UV/visible absorbance and the Aviv fluorescence emission intensity detection system. Light scattering measurements are performed with a Brookhaven light scattering instrument which is equipped with a Helium-Neon laser, goniometer and 256 channel autocorrelator, suitable for multi-angle static and dynamic light scattering experiments. Partial specific volume and density measurements can be performed with our Anton Paar DMA-60 instrument.
