    The Financial Services Partner plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless financial transactions while delivering robust administrative and strategic business support across departments. This framework is designed to optimize resource allocation, enabling departments to concentrate on advancing the institution’s core mission.

    We achieve our objectives through the following key methods:

    • Leading the preparation and submission of documentation by verifying data integrity and ensuring all required information is accurate and complete
    • Interpreting and applying institutional policies to ensure all transactions comply with university standards and funding requirements.
    • Providing specialized consultation to Vice Presidents and Deans on exceptions and complex cases, delivering clear and strategic solutions tailored to their needs.
    • Coordinating effectively with key departments—including Disbursements, Purchasing, Payroll, Budget, and Accounting—to advance transactions through the appropriate workflows.
    • Monitoring transaction progress, resolving bottlenecks promptly, and maintaining transparent communication through regular updates.
    • Enforcing rigorous quality control standards to prevent errors and significantly reduce the need for rework.

  • Reporting Support

    The Financial Operations Team provides comprehensive financial analysis and strategic support to reinforce the institution’s fiscal integrity, transparency, and alignment with its academic and strategic goals. We play a pivotal role in optimizing resource allocation, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting operational decision-making through the following key functions:

    • Budget Development and Management – We lead the institution-wide annual budgeting process across administrative units, ensuring alignment with state funding requirementsand institutional priorities.
    • Financial Reporting and ComplianceWe prepare and deliver precise financial reports to internal stakeholders to ensure financial objectives are achieved.
    • Strategic Financial Planning – We lead long-term financial planning efforts, developing multi-year models that incorporate potential changes in state appropriations, capital projects, labor costs, and other key institutional drivers.
    • Cost Analysis and Efficiency Initiatives – We conduct detailed financial evaluations of administrative operations and auxiliary services to identify cost-saving opportunities and promote effective resource utilization.

  • Process Improvement

    Our primary objective is to establish a deep, collaborative partnership with Financial Leads to enhance back-office operations. We conduct regular alignment meetings to set strategic goals, resolve outstanding issues, and ensure seamless data integration between operational and financial teams. This collaboration centers on key functions such as budgeting, expense management, invoicing, reconciliations, and detailed financial reporting.

    We utilize shared tools and platforms to promote transparency and enable real-time data access. Through a structured communication framework, we effectively identify and address discrepancies, streamline workflows, and support strategic, data-driven decision-making.
