Kathleen was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She has worked as a staff nurse in Pediatrics from 1986-2000, in the areas of Pediatric Oncology and children with a wide range of chronic illness.

Kathleen graduated from the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program in 2000 and served as the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic Coordinator until 2005. She has worked in the Pediatric Clinic at BAMC and the Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic at Methodist Children’s Hospital. Kathleen currently works for the UTHSC School of Medicine as the PNP at the Center for Miracles at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital, a child abuse referral-based medical assessment center providing evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for children who are suspected victims of child abuse or neglect. Though Kathleen sees all patients, she specializes in following children diagnosed with failure to thrive.
