Biography:
Dr. Kissoon graduated from Emory University in 2003 and attended medical school at University of South Florida College of Medicine from 2004-2008. She completed her training in pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC in 2011 and a fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics at The Lawrence A. Aubin Sr. Child Protection Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island in 2015 . Dr. Kissoon is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics. She worked as a pediatric emergency department physician in Washington, DC as well as a pediatric hospitalist in Corvallis, Oregon prior to fellowship training. Dr. Kissoon is a scholar member of the Ray Helfer Society and a current member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Texas Pediatric Society. Dr. Kissoon enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors and cooking.
