Industry includes pharmaceutical companies, laboratory equipment suppliers, and other clinical supply sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Current policy prohibits or regulates the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compensation or gifts from industry to UTHSA clinicians or researchers<\/li>\n<li>Industry interactions with UTHSA trainees<\/li>\n<li>Provision of free drug, device, and other product samples to clinicians<\/li>\n<li>Industry support for educational events on UTHSA campus<\/li>\n<li>Delivering industry-sponsored lectures or participating in legitimate conferences and meetings of clinicians or researchers in locations other than UTHSA facilities<\/li>\n<li>Disclosure of relationships with industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you receive a gift from a vendor or patient, please alert the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.uthscsa.edu\/compliance\/\">Institutional Compliance &amp;
