Due to the widespread community transmission of COVID-19 in San Antonio, UT Health San Antonio employees must remain vigilant for symptoms on a daily basis.

The most common COVID-19 disease symptoms include:

  • Fever above 100.0 ˚F
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Muscle aches
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain/discomfort
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • New loss of the sense of taste or smell

This list includes the commonly reported symptoms of COVID-19 patients. If you have any of these symptoms during your self-monitoring, stay home, contact your primary care provider or the UT Health San Antonio employee and student health and wellness center hotline, Wellness 360 at 210-450-8000.  The Wellness 360 hotline staff can discuss your specific situation and determine if testing is required.
