What is the ECHO Model?<\/h2>\n

Project ECHO<\/a> is a lifelong learning and guided practice model that revolutionizes medical education and exponentially increases workforce capacity to provide best-practice specialty care and reduce health disparities. The heart of the ECHO model\u2122 is its knowledge-sharing networks, led by expert teams who use multi-point videoconferencing to conduct virtual clinics with community providers. In this way, primary care doctors, nurses, and other clinicians learn to provide excellent specialty care to patients in their own communities.<\/p>\n

About UT Health San Antonio ECHO Superhub<\/h2>\n

UT Health San Antonio ECHO Superhub uses the ECHO\u00ae (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model developed by University of New Mexico to partner with providers and healthcare workers in underserved communities including in remote and rural communities to increase their knowledge in a healthcare related area so that they can provide necessary care to patients in their communities.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”roomy bleed”][vc_column width=”1\/3″] \n \n <\/i><\/span><\/span>

UT Health San Antonio ECHO Superhub Service Center<\/h1>\n

The UT Health San Antonio ECHO Superhub Service Center provides technical assistance and support to groups seeking to launch their own ECHO. We provide clients with practical guidance, staffing support, tools, and creative solutions to help plan their ECHO, obtain funding, recruit community partners, provide continuing education, and evaluate the impact of their work. We are situated within the Center for Research to Advance Community Health (ReACH<\/a>). We represent an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and staff who have a shared mission to improve health care access and education.<\/p>\n
