Gastroenterologist Clinician/Educator at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level

The Division of Gastroenterology, in the Department of Medicine of the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, seeks several full-time gastroenterologist clinician/educators at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in support of a major programmatic expansion in clinical and teaching programs.  These positions will include opportunities to participate in direct patient care and in the education of GI fellows and other learners; in addition pursuit of clinical research opportunities is encouraged.  Academic practice sites include the inpatient GI consultation and endoscopy service at University Hospital; the GI Clinic and Endoscopy Center at the Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC), the flagship home of the UT Health Physicians practice located in the South Texas Medical Center; and the GI Clinic and Endoscopy Center located in the Robert B. Green Campus of University Health System.

Advanced Endoscopy (AE) Gastrointestinal Clinician/Educator at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine/Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio seeks a full time academic gastrointestinal Advanced Endoscopy (AE) clinician-educator at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank to enhance our missions in patient care, teaching and clinical research.  The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of AE inpatient consultation and inpatient/outpatient AE procedures performed at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-Medical Center and University Hospital and will participate in outpatient AE consultation in our interdisciplinary Pancreas Clinic housed at the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Mays Cancer Center, all located in the South Texas Medical Center. This position provides the opportunity for teaching AE fellows, Gastroenterology fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students in a diversity of clinical settings, as well as mentoring them in clinical research and scholarly pursuits.

Applicants for the position must possess state licensure or have application in process, must be Board certified in Gastroenterology, and should have completed or be in the process of completing training in an AE fellowship.
