LINC IPE Research & Scholarship Initiative
The LINC IPE Research & Scholarship Initiative resides within the LINC Faculty Council, and is dedicated to advancing novel academic strategies by faculty and staff that fosters interprofessional education (IPE) across all schools at UT Health San Antonio.
Housed within the LINC IPE Research & Scholarship Initiative is the LINC Seed Grant Program. The goals of the LINC Seed Grant Program have been to 1) solicit high-quality IPE proposals from faculty and staff members that promote novel strategies for advancing IPE across schools; 2) provide guidance/training to our faculty and staff for developing high-quality IPE grant applications; 3) maintain a fair and efficient process for soliciting and evaluating IPE grant applications; and 4) promote dissemination of outcomes regionally, nationally, and internationally through presentation and publication.
Annually, the LINC Faculty Council and the LINC Director collaborate to develop charges to guide Initiative efforts and maximize contributions to the QEP.
Fiscal Year 2022 Charges
Evaluate and improve the LINC Seed Grant Program, including processes and procedures for effective solicitation and review of IPE pilot proposals; include an assessment and improvement of web-based processes piloted in FY 2021.
Create Qualtrics surveys that will allow the creation of a data base that stores all dissemination products (publications and presentations) representing outcomes of pilot IPE projects funded by the LINC Seed Grant Program.
Provide annual grant-writing workshop to LINC Seed Grant Program applicants.
Contribute IPE research and scholarship expertise to the creation of workshops aimed at improving the IPE knowledge and skills of UT Health San Antonio employees and their attempts to measure IPE learning outcomes and disseminate findings.
Prepare and submit a manuscript for publication that describes the LINC Seed Grant Program and its outcomes-to-date.
Explore opportunities for extramural funding to support the LINC Seed Grant Program.
