\"\"The UT San Antonio School of Nursing was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education from the National League for Nursing (2025-2029). This prestigious designation\u2014in the category dedicated to promoting the pedagogical expertise of faculty\u2014has been awarded only 24 times nationwide. LINC was honored to contribute interprofessional education content and achievements to the School of Nursing\u2019s application in the areas of student learning outcomes assessment, program evaluation, and scholarly dissemination.<\/p>\n

\"\"A team of LINC contributors, including Dr. Rebecca Moote and Dr. Joseph Zorek, were awarded one of two national research seed grants in November 2024 from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. This competitive program provides grants to pharmacist researchers seeking to examine the impact and value of board certification in pharmacy; supporting innovative projects that explore critical aspects of pharmacist professional development and collaborative healthcare practices.<\/p>\n

The LINC Simulation IPE Initiative<\/a> team received a <\/span>best poster award<\/a> in the simulation IPE category at the 2023 IPEC Poster Fair. Their poster, \u201cA telehealth caregiver simulation to improve interprofessional communication and teamwork,\u201d was first-authored by Dr. Sadie Trammell Velasquez, Associate Professor\/Clinical and Assistant Dean for Preclinical Curriculum in the Long School of Medicine. The <\/span>LINC Simulation IPE Experience<\/a> first launched in Spring 2023 and serves as the second IPE activity in the <\/span>LINC Longitudinal IPE Program<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”2022″ color=”custom” border_width=”3″ accent_color=”#3c2f56″][vc_column_text]\"\"In 2022, UT Health San Antonio\u2014for our work through LINC\u2014 received the ASAHP Award for Institutional Excellence and Innovation in Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Health Care<\/a>. This award recognizes institutional excellence, innovation and outstanding achievement in IPE and interprofessional collaborative practice. \"\"The LINC Common IPE Initiative<\/a> team was awarded first place<\/a> in the Quality Improvement and Evidence-Based Practice category at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Transform 2022 conference for their poster “LINC Common IPE Experience: Igniting BSN Student Engagement with Other Professions,” which was first-authored by Dr. Cynthia Wall, Associate Professor\/Clinical and Director of Undergraduate Programs in the School of Nursing. The LINC Common IPE Experience<\/a> is a university-wide activity first launched in 2020 that now serves as the foundational activity in the LINC Longitudinal IPE Program<\/a>.

\"BobbyDr. Bobby Belarmino, member of the LINC Common IPE Initiative, was inducted into the National Academies of Practice as a Distinguished Fellow of Physical Therapy at the 2026 National Academies of Practice Annual Meeting & Forum. Dr. Belarmino was awarded for actively serving and promoting excellence in health science education, educational scholarship, and leadership.

\"\"A 2026 study in the journal Next Research identified scholars exerting the greatest global influence on interprofessional education (IPE) by analyzing the 100 most-cited publications in the literature between 2000 and 2025. Dr. Joseph Zorek, LINC Executive Director, was identified in this study as a high-frequency contributor, thought-leader,

The UT System Board of Regents established the Science and Technology Acquisition and Retention (STARs) program in 2004. Multiple types of STARs awards
