[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The LINC Didactic IPE Initiative<\/a>\u2019s signature program and contribution to the Quality Enhancement Plan is the LINC Common IPE Experience<\/a>. This university-wide interprofessional education (IPE) activity involves \u00a0synchronous online learning of interprofessional groups of 3-4 students, where each group completes a series of interprofessional socialization activities coupled with innovative video and illustrated case studies. Launched in 2020 as the foundation of all IPE at UT Health San Antonio, the LINC Common IPE Experience has been completed by 3,071 students to date.<\/p>\n

In partnership with the LINC Assessment Council, robust student outcomes are evaluated annually and dissemination of results is strongly encouraged. In late 2022, Dr. Cynthia Wall, PhD, MSN, APRN, PCNS-BC, CNE, Associate Professor\/Clinical, who represents the School of Nursing on the LINC Didactic IPE Initiative, led a sub-analysis and poster presentation of results exploring differences in outcomes across the Accelerated and Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.<\/p>\n

Dr. Wall\u2019s first-authored poster, LINC Common IPE Experience: Igniting BSN Student Engagement with Other Professions, received the first-place award in the Quality Improvement and Evidence-Based Practice category at Transform 2022<\/a>, the annual meeting of American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN<\/a>) held in Chicago, Illinois.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a privilege it was to accept this award\u2014it speaks volumes about the efforts put forth by the LINC Didactic IPE Initiative,\u201d said Wall while reflecting on the honor.<\/p>\n
