Voice Therapy

A speech pathologist has a masters level of training in a wide variety of disorders affecting communication. At the UT Voice Center, our team includes a speech pathologist that has additional, specialized training in the area of voice. This allows us to provide efficient and effective rehabilitation services for those having voice disorders.

The voice team will work together to manage the entire scope of your voice problem. While the laryngologist will diagnosis pathologies that are present (i.e. vocal fold nodules, polyps, paralysis, paradoxical vocal fold motion disorder), the speech pathologist will provide treatment planning to address symptoms associated with those pathologies (i.e. increasing vocal control and improving vocal quality; decreasing pain, tightness or strain associated with speaking; reducing unexpected throat spasms and chronic coughing.)
