The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics integrative programs focus on studying immunology as it relates to host defense against microbial infection, to autoimmune diseases or allergy/cancer, and much more. Newly renovated labs with state-of-art equipment and two core facilities back our programs and provide a powerful set of tools.
Our programs allow students to contribute to the cutting-edge science and receive solid training in the sophisticated research laboratories of some of the most highly trained immunologists in the world. Drawing on the expertise of nearly 60 faculty members we emphasize programs of study and research tailored to the interest of each individual student.
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics (MIMG) welcomes current undergraduate students who are working on a bachelor’s degree with a focus in science.
The Master of Science in Immunology & Infection (MSI&I) degree program allows training in a health science campus environment with direct access and constant exposure to the biomedical community.
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics is home to the Infection, Inflammation & Immunity (III) discipline of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Ph.D. Program.
