Since its inception, VAWA has been updated and modified. VAWA\u2019s most recent reauthorization was signed into law in March of this year (effective October, 2022). Some notable changes by the VAWA Reauthorization Act of 2022 were the revised definition of\u00a0<strong>domestic violence<\/strong>\u00a0and new definitions including but not limited to\u00a0<strong>economic abuse<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>technological abuse<\/strong>.
