Workshop on J-1 Sponsorship

Please mark your calendar to join OIS team for the J-1 workshop on Wednesday, March 17th from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM.  We will discuss the Scholar International Portal and the policies and procedures for sponsoring an exchange visitor for a J-1 visa. In addition, we will cover topics on the purpose of the J-1 visa, outline eligibility requirements, estimated costs, process and timeline, and discuss ongoing expectations and requirements of the departments and exchange visitors.

***Alert: This workshop is not for ECFMG J-1 Submissions for Program Coordinators. That workshop will be next Spring 2022!***

Special Note: The OIS will now require anyone submitting J-1 requests to have attended this workshop. Even if your department has not sponsored individuals in the past, we highly recommend that you attend, as this could come up at any time.
