DACA and Undocumented

The Office of International Services (OIS) would like to emphasize our committed support for all students at UT Health San Antonio, regardless of immigration status, and appreciation for the value and diversity you bring to our communities.  Please refer to former Chancellor William H. McRaven’s statement on DACA, emphasizing the support of the University of Texas for all students, including those who are foreign born and undocumented and President William L. Henrich’s statement.

We can refer you to a local immigration attorney to obtain you with a 30-minute consultation.  You can also reach out to local organizations that provide free and low-cost support and legal services to immigrants and their families: RAICES, and Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio, Inc. – Caritas Legal Services.

We understand that events in recent years may have generated anxiety, and we want to make sure that you are aware of the resources available to you. The Student Counseling Center provides free and confidential services to all Health Science Center students.  You can make an appointment by calling (210) 567-2648 or visiting the Student Counseling Center between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
