Personal Statement:

Dr. Medel has been engaged in the field of international education for more than twenty years, including significant experience working with the complexities of academic health centers. Her expertise, garnered from progressive leadership roles at The University of Texas at San Antonio, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and Texas A&M University-San Antonio, coupled with her Ed.D. in organizational leadership with an emphasis in higher education as well as master’s degree in bicultural-bilingual studies, position Dr. Medel is well prepared to lead the Office of International Services.
