Personal Statement:

Banan has worked in the field of international education for eight years. She has experience advising international students and scholars on non-immigrant visas. Banan also worked for Texas A&M University San Antonio and at San Antonio College.

In the past five years, Banan lived in Istanbul, Turkey where she gained experience working abroad. Banan has innovative skills, and a proactive approach to compliance and programming. She is sensitive to the needs and concerns of foreign nationals. Banan was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. She also lived in Syria for a few years before coming to the United States in 2010. Banan speaks Arabic and Turkish languages. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word.

In her free time, Banan likes to do outdoor activities with her daughter including gardening. She also loves to travel with her family and explore new places.
