Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dshs.texas.gov\/chpr\/j1info.shtm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Primary Care Office<\/a>, Conrad 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Policy Manual, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/working-united-states\/students-and-exchange-visitors\/conrad-30-waiver-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USCIS<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>After your H-1B petition has been approved, make sure to schedule an appointment with your OIS advisor to obtain the approval notice and review requirements to maintain H-1B status. In addition, as a Conrad 30 Waiver recipient, please pay attention to the following reminders:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In order to fulfill your waiver requirement, you must work full-time (a minimum of 40 hours a week) for a continuous three years at the underserved location.<\/li>\n<li>If you provide services at any other UT Health San Antonio location, this work must be in addition to the 40 hours a week and that location must have been included in the H-1B petition filed on your behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure to familiarize yourself with the conditions set forth in your signed employment contract.<\/li>\n<li>If your employment at UT Health San Antonio is anticipated to continue beyond the end date of your three-year H-1B petition, your department\/division must request an extension of your H-1B status and submit appropriate documentation approximately 6-7 months in advance of the expiration date.<\/li>\n<li>It is possible for your department\/division to begin the process of sponsoring you for employment-based permanent residency and to obtain an I-140 approval notice on your behalf during the three-year Conrad 30 waiver period. However, you are ineligible to file Form I-485 to apply to adjust to the status of lawful permanent resident until you have completed the Conrad 30 Waiver requirements.<\/li>\n<li>If you fail to fulfill the terms and conditions imposed on the waiver, you and your dependents will once again become subject to the two-year home residency requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]If you are a clinical faculty member at UT Health San Antonio and a Conrad 30 Waiver recipient, you are responsible for understanding and complying with the requirements to fulfill the waiver.
