Important features of the policy are summarized below:<\/p>\n<p>Define postdoctoral research fellow \/ establish minimum salary<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&lt; 5 years in postdoctoral research training (at any location)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum salary set at NIH NRSA minimum (currently, $50,004)<\/li>\n<li>A single payroll class for all postdoctoral research fellows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required for appointment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Offer letter<\/li>\n<li>Official transcripts, translated as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of English language proficiency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required activities for postdoctoral research fellows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in new postdoctoral research fellow orientation<\/li>\n<li>Completion of annual evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of an Individual Development Plan with annual updates<\/li>\n<li>Training in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)<\/li>\n<li>Training in Rigor and Reproducibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For postdoctoral fellows, your mentoring faculty member and the department\/institute\/center associated with your primary appointment will help you understand personnel actions that affect you.<\/p>\n<p>Revisions to HOP policy 4.3.9 are forthcoming.
