Performance Therapeutics has proudly served communities across Texas for over 20 years, delivering compassionate, high-quality outpatient physical therapy. We’re currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Eagle Pass clinic, a well-established location with a positive, patient-focused environment and a supportive team.
Physical Therapist Assistant is under the direct supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA is responsible for providing physical therapy services as determined by the Texas State Physical Therapy Practices Act, rules of practice, personal judgment (according to the PT code of ethics), and the management of Performance Therapeutics. Duties include following a treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist and ensuring that all aspects of the treatment plan are carried out concurrent with the medical protocols established Performance Therapeutics.

SUPERVISOR: Lead Physical Therapist, Clinical Operations Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- PTA will document treatment plan per documentation guidelines, this will include, but not limited to:
- Documenting each treatment provided per session on the appropriate form, including exercises performed and providing the referring physician with written objective progress reports for each patient prior to physician recheck dates.
- Takes regular measurements of patient to include strength and ROM to determine progress along plan of care.
- Must be knowledgeable in billing for treatments conducted per insurance carrier specifications.
- Direct, supervise, and document on treatment responsibilities performed by technicians.
- Instruct patients in home exercise programs (appropriate to their diagnosis both as an adjunct to professional supervised exercise in the clinic, and in preparation for discharge.
- Knowledgeable for best demonstrated practices and the development of specific quality indications used to measure them, of the factors that impact those quality indications, and the methods to improve the quality indications.
- Establishes and promotes clear lines of communication between therapy, therapists and other Performance Therapeutics employees.
- Must be familiar with rules and regulations established by the relevant licensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
- Promotes, supports and engages in projects and activities that will develop or improve physical therapy services and overall teamwork.
- Participates in professional continuing education relevant to the Performance Therapeutics patient population.
- Will acquire professional continuing education hours in accordance with the requirements set forth by the State of Texas.
Position Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Licensed in State of Texas.
EXPERIENCE: On the job training to new hires.
SKILLS: Manual therapy skills, decision making, leadership and good communication skills, both orally and written required.
ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to develop and maintain effective relationships. Must be able to assist patients on tables and equipment..
OTHER: Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires prolonged sitting, stretching, and some bending. Requires eye hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopies, telephone, and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate information to patients and team members. Normal but fast-paced work environment.
