About the OpportunityPrivate Practice – Speech Language Pathologist – Augmentative and Alternative Communication
AACS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow to join a dynamic team of implementers serving adults who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to communicate.
This is a full-time and permanent position. Candidate must have an interest in technology, be willing to learn, and enjoy working collaboratively as a team. Mentorship and team support provided. Professionalism, dedication to excellence, and respect for others imperative.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementation, treatment, training, education and consultation for adults with complex communication needs who require AAC in the natural setting and via telehealth
- Customizing devices and supporting systems
- Providing traditional interventions and treatments
- Partnering with the community to support adults with complex communication needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible for Colorado Driver’s License
- Reliable Vehicle / Vehicle Insurance
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Passed the Praxis Examination
- Must have completed the academic requirements for Master’s Degree and be eligible to begin a Clinical Fellowship OR be an applicant for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) OR have already completed the CCC-SLP
LOCATION:
- All services take place in the natural setting
- The candidate would reside or would need to relocate to the Denver area
