What to Expect at Your Visit

Getting here and parking

Our clinic is on the second floor of UT Dentistry’s Center for Oral Health Care and Research, at 8210 Floyd Curl Drive in San Antonio’s Medical Center. Park in the garage behind the building, or use the patient drop-off at the main entrance. The main entrance is at the back of the building, facing the parking areas. Take the elevator in the main lobby to the second floor.

Before your visit and new patient checklist

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and complete new-patient paperwork.
  • Bring dental records or X-rays from any previous dentist within the past five years (printed or digital). Records can also be faxed directly to our clinic.
  • Let us know about any dental anxiety, as our clinic offers several comfort options, and we’re glad to address your concerns before treatment begins.

During your exam

Your dental team will take time to get to know you, or, for returning patients, discuss any concerns or changes, before a comprehensive oral evaluation. If scheduled, our dental hygienist will complete a full cleaning and polish.

Your dental exam includes a full look at your teeth, gums, and mouth, oral cancer screening, plus any necessary X-rays. Afterward, your dentist will review the findings and, as necessary, create a personalized treatment plan to help you maintain long-term oral health.

Appointment reminders and rescheduling

You’ll receive a reminder message before your appointment. To reschedule, please call us at least two days in advance at 210-567-6453.
