Mentor of the Year Awards
GSBS Graduate Mentor of the Year Award
The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences established the Graduate Mentor of the Year Award in 2018 to recognize faculty who demonstrate exceptional commitment to mentoring graduate students. Each year, the GSBS partners with the Research Mentoring Academy (RMA) to select one outstanding mentor.
Award recipients receive a commemorative plaque, a $1,000 honorarium, and recognition at the GSBS Fall Convocation Ceremony. They are also interviewed and photographed in their research environment to highlight and share their mentoring philosophy across the school. Graduate Mentor of the Year honorees are granted automatic membership in the Research Mentoring Academy.
OPA Postdoctoral Mentor of the Year
The RMA also partners with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs to recognize the Postdoctoral Mentor of the Year, and recipients of this award are likewise offered membership in the RMA.
