Dr. Ann Griffith serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics in the UT Long School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in Immunology and Environmental Carcinogenesis at UTHSC-M.D. Anderson in Houston, and received her postdoctoral training at The Scripps Research Institute. Her research is focused on the function of thymic stromal cells in promoting T cell differentiation and self-tolerance, as well as their age-associated dysfunction. She has served as a HHMI Gilliam Fellowship Mentor, and was selected as the GSBS Mentor of the Year in 2021. She has served on the American Association of Immunologists Committee on the Status of Women, the editorial board of Aging Cell, and as a Long School of Medicine Diversity Ambassador/Upstander.
