Ratna K Vadlamudi, Ph.D.

Professor and Vice Chair for Research, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Ratna K Vadlamudi, PhD., is a tenured Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and of Cell Systems & Anatomy, was recruited to UT-Health-SA in 2006. He serves as a Co-leader of Cancer Development and Progression Program at Mays Cancer Center, an NCI designated Cancer Center. Dr. Vadlamudi also serves as an Associate program Director for South Texas Medical Scientist Training Program (MDPhD program).  He is an elected AAAS Fellow for outstanding contributions to molecular biology of cancer. He has 20 years of experience directing programs for the mentoring and training high school students, undergraduate, graduate, post doc and clinical fellows. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of molecular biology of cancer and drug development.
