Edward Sankary

Edward Sankary, M.D.

Chief Health Informatics Officer, Regional Physician Network

Dr. Sankary joined the Regional Physician Network most recently from Palos Health in Chicago in April 2020.  After finishing his Internal Medicine Residency at Loyola University, he started his career at the Loyola Center for Health as an Attending Physician.  He was introduced to population health while working with Loyola University Health System where he served as the Assistant CMO for Population Health and the Assistant Chief Health Information Officer, the CMO and ultimately the VP of Clinical Excellence, Analytics and Population Health Chief Health Information Officer.  He is an innovative physician leader with extensive experience in the enterprise electronic health record, informatics, governance, analytics, business intelligence, population health, ACOs and clinical integration.  He has a combined background in computer science, data analytics, academic and community impatient and ambulatory medicine.  We are excited for Dr. Sankary to be with the Regional Physician Network.

Robert R. Leverence, M.D., FACP

Chief Medical Officer, UT Health Physicians

Prior to joining UT Health San Antonio in March 2018, Dr. Leverence was the Chief Medical Officer at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he served six years as Vice Chair for Clinical Operations and founding Division Chief of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine. At the University of Florida he also established the Division of Palliative Care, an Integrative Medicine Program, a Super-Utilizer Clinic, and a Global Health Fellowship. Dr. Leverence serves on the Board of Directors of the Bexar County Medical Society and is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine. He was recognized by the University of Florida Department of Medicine with an Exemplary Mentor Award in 2015. Dr. Leverence was also inducted into the AOA Medical Honors Society in 1988.

Adam Kirking, MHA

Director, Regional Physician Network

Adam received his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota and has 12 years of healthcare experience and seven years of experience in value-based care. Before joining UT Health San Antonio, he was the Director of Operational Performance and Analytics for Imperium Health, an ACO management company based in Louisville. He also partnered with physician leaders as the Director of Imaging and Laboratory Services at a 150-bed hospital in Western Iowa. Adam was also recognized as a Becker’s Hospital Review’s Top Under 40 Leaders in 2019.
