THERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric SpeechOccupational, and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve families in various cities in Texas. This Full-Time, Part Time, PRN position is based in Texas.

What you’ll do:

-Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.
-Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
-Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
-Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
-Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
-Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
-Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

– Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferred
– Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions
– Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
– Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods

REQUIREMENTS:
