Adult Trauma Team Activation Criteria

ALL FALLS < 10ft go to Emergency Medicine

  • Active airway assistance/respiratory compromise (ETT,BVM, King Tube, etc) from scene or en
    route
  • O2 Sat < 90% at any time
  • SBP = 90 at any time
  • HR = 130 at any time
  • GCS = 11 with trauma MOI
  • Penetrating injury to head, neck, chest, abdomen or pelvis
  • Active external hemorrhage or receiving blood
  • MEDCOM transfer receiving blood or on pressors

  • O2 Sat < 90% at any time
  • BP = 100 (< 110 in age > 65) at any time
  • GCS = 12 with trauma MOI
  • Chest wall instability or crepitus
  • Penetrating injury proximal to and including the elbow or knee
  • Open fracture or amputation proximal to and including the wrist or ankle
  • Two or more proximal long bone fractures
  • Crushed, degloved, mangled or pulseless extremity
  • Acute motor or sensory deficit
  • MEDCOM transfer intubated
