Treatment Options for HIV/HCV
- There are very effective drugs available today to treat both HIV and HCV infections.
- HIV and HCV infection can be treated at the same time but HIV treatment is life-long.
- HCV infection is curable.
- HCV infection can be treated and cured in a lot of cases with one pill a day for 8-12 weeks.
- HIV infection can be treated in a lot of cases with one pill a day but HIV treatment is life-long.
Cost of Treatment
- Both HIV and HCV drugs are expensive.
- HCV drugs are more expensive than HIV drugs.
