Why TCHATT?

Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) provides the opportunity for students to receive FREE teletherapy and telepsychiatry services while in school. TCHATT addresses gaps in existing mental health care as a result of providing care to both at-risk children and adolescents who lack access to mental health care services in their communities and allows them to receive mental health care quickly when they may otherwise have to wait months. Additionally, TCHATT correspondingly increases student engagement and academic achievement as a result of the reduction of psychological distress and development of mental wellness.

TCHATT provides coverage throughout the entire state of Texas by 12 different health related institutions.
