Vice President
Among the duties and responsibility of the division are the establishment and monitoring of policies that affect academic programs, academic initiatives, faculty appointments, promotions, tenure, and student life. The division also manages required and requested reporting submitted to The University of Texas System, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Legislative Budget Board, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, in addition to other various external agencies. The Vice President for Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs serves as the Chief Academic Affairs Officer and a member of the Executive Committee, and reports directly to the President of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
