Patrick Kaminski, MBA

Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer

Mr. Kaminski joined The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2016 as director of business development. He has held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility including serving as assistant vice president, strategic planning and business until 2020 when he was promoted to vice president and chief strategy officer.

Mr. Kaminski is responsible for leading strategic planning, business development, and enterprise transformation at UT Health Science Center San Antonio, also called UT Health San Antonio. His team is responsible for leading the strategic development process which includes the planning and implementing of UT Health San Antonio’s key strategic priorities, identifying key market trends, and driving growth through partnerships and acquisitions. Mr. Kaminski is accountable for full cycle strategic planning inclusive of facilitating collaboration among institutional leadership in the development, implementation, and sustainment of strategies, ensuring alignment to budget and other critical support functions.

Prior to joining UT Health San Antonio, he served more than 13 years in various roles within strategy and business development for healthcare and financial organizations, including Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Kaminski holds a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University.
