Jacqueline Lee Mok, Ph.D.

Vice President for Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs

Dr. Mok has served as Vice President for Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs since 2014.

She is responsible for the management and oversight of academic, faculty and student affairs at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, including the establishment of policies that affect academic affairs, academic initiatives, faculty appointments, promotions, and tenure, student life, and required and requested reporting submitted to The University of Texas System, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Legislative Budget Board, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, in addition to other various external agencies. She serves as the chief academic affairs officer, reporting directly to the president. She has been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges since 2019.

Prior to joining UT Health Science Center San Antonio, also called UT Health San Antonio, Dr. Mok held numerous leadership and faculty positions of increasing responsibility at both John Hopkins University and the University of Arizona. She is the recipient of the national Chang-Lin Tien Education Leadership Award from the Asian Pacific Fund, in recognition of her outstanding contributions in higher education leadership.

Dr. Mok holds a doctoral degree in arts education from the University of New York and a master’s degree in music from the University of North Texas.
