paper [Multiple senders, various attachments]

This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

The University has received many recent phishing messages with the subject “paper” and variations of the sender and the attachment name.  The senders are random names and e-mail addresses from domains around the world.  Examples of sender addresses are “Parker [parker.walpole@osdragankovacevic.edu.rs]”, “Brandie <brandie.lemoine@travelsavvynews.com>”, and “Angela <angela.scholey@queenslandheadshots.com>”.  The attachments are all infected PDF files with random 8-digit alpha-numereic file names; some examples are “309cc6d42.pdf”, “05e7497bc.pdf”, and “a6b06f2b9.pdf”.  An example is shown below.
