Your order is on the way

This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

This particular scam was first spotted in March, 2021. It is a notification of a product being sent that was never ordered. This is an attempt to have the receiver call the phone number to get it straightened out. If you do call the number, you will be prompted to verify personal information. If you provide information, you will be providing it to the scammer and this will set you up for identity theft. They might even try to convince you to give up your credit card information so they can “refund your money”. A telltale sign that this particular email is a part of a scam is that the email address of the sender has absolutely nothing to do with Amazon, however, other similar scams will have email addresses that may appear to be legitimate. There are two versions of this phishing email below. They all come from different email addresses, which are probably spoofed. If you receive an email similar to this, and you didn’t order the products listed, delete the email.
