Invoice IVN-0228

This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

This email was identified as fraud and an attempt to spread malware in March, 2022. The company xero.com put a warning on their website about this dangerous email. The Invoice INV number will differ but the intent is the same. It uses scare tactics in an attempt to make the recipient think they have a large, outstanding bill. The attachment is supposed to have all the information so the recipient can address it quickly. But opening the attachment will download malware or ransomware onto the computer or device. If you receive an email similar to this, delete it.
