This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

This email is not legitimate. There are 4 red flags. If you receive an email similar to this, delete it.

  1. The From field shows Xerox but the email address after it is not a xerox.com account.
  2. The email is coming from a domain that gives away accounts like gmail.com or yahoo.com, not a company’s domain address.
  3. The greeting only uses the username because that is the only information the scammer has.
  4. Hovering over the button shows the link will take us to a domain named co.in. (nothing to do with Xerox)
