This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

These emails have two malicious intents. In some cases, the PDF has malicious code designed to download a virus to the recipient’s computer or device. The virus then sends the same email to everyone in the Global Address List (GAL), so others will think the email came from someone inside the university, adding legitimacy. It is also a phishing scam where there is attempt at Identity Theft. When someone replies to either of these emails, there will be requests for more Personally Identifiable Information (PII). If you see an email similar to these, delete it.
