Pet Sitter Needed

This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

The pet-sitting scam offers a great incentive to watch an individual’s pet. The downside is that they will often send you a check larger than the $600 and will ask you to send some of the money back to the scammer. Unfortunately, this check is fraudulent, but your bank will often let you deposit the check and start using the funds. Now you’ll be on the hook for that $600+ dollars.

Be cautious about emails you were not expecting that are too good to be true.
