This email is a Phish Attempt. There was an initial email that talked about a grant and asked the receiver to send their personal cell number and their non-edu email address. Once they replied to the message with that information, the scammer sent a request for more information. Luckily, the receiver recognized it as a Phish and didn’t provide any more information. The person who received this message needs to be extra vigilant about future text messages and emails because the scammer is aware they already fell for one Phish.

Do not send your personal information to anyone you do not know.
