Undelivered Messages
This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.This phishing email pretends to be a notification about undelivered Microsoft 365 messages. It uses social engineering tactics to entice the recipient to click on a malicious “Review” button by claiming there are three undelivered messages awaiting attention. The email attempts to impersonate Microsoft, making it appear as a legitimate communication.
Red Flags:
- Suspicious External Email Address: The sender’s email domain “glitternemow.com” does not align with Microsoft’s official domains.
- Malicious Link: The “Review” button is linked to a potentially harmful site rather than a legitimate Microsoft service.
- Impersonation: The email falsely claims to be from Microsoft Corporation, including a fake footer with Microsoft’s address.
