Duo Mobile Service Interruption

This email below has been confirmed as malicious or fraudulent by the Information Security department. If you have received this phishing email, do not open any attachments or follow the link(s) in the message; simply delete the email.

One of the UT institutions reported a recent uptick in phishing attacks targeting students.

The threat actors are attempting to steal financial aid by changing direct deposit information in student accounts.

The phish emails pose as institution administrators that ask the students to accept the DUO MFA prompts.

Remember, no one from the university will ever ask you to use your personal email for any university business.
