Eight simple habits to create accessible content
- Use headings and lists to structure your document
- Include alt text to describe all meaningful images
- Provide captioning for videos, and transcripts for audio-only media
- Make sure all the hyperlink text describes the target (or action) of the link
- Avoid conveying meaning with color alone
- Ensure foreground objects have enough color contrast against the background to be early visible
- Use plain language, and write instructions so they don’t depend on a specific sense
- Check your content with an accessibility checker, and follow instructions to fix errors or warnings
