The primary purpose of an F-1 visa is to enter the U.S. to complete an academic program.
New Students
After obtaining acceptance into an academic program at UT Health San Antonio, you will work with your department and our office to commence the process of obtaining an I-20 for F-1 status.
Current Students
You are responsible for maintaining your F-1 status and ensuring that you comply with all institutional and immigration requirements. Make sure to contact our office if you have any questions in advance of taking action.
Recent Graduates
After completing your academic degree, make sure to familiarize yourself with your options after graduation. Our office provides workshops to assist you with this process. We also hope that you stay in contact with us so that we can celebrate your successes.
