Campus Save Clery Act

While the Clery Act was enacted in 1990 to require all schools receiving federal financial assistance to collect and publish information about crime occurring on campus, VAWA’s Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (Campus SaVE) Act amended the Clery Act in a number of ways but most notably by requiring colleges and universities to report domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, beyond crime categories the Clery Act already mandated. The Clery Act requires that schools publish a yearly report of all crimes reported and immediately notify students of any reported attacks when they occur on campus. More information regarding the Clery Act can be found at UT Health San Antonio Police Department’s Clery, Right to Know webpage.
