Each year, the National Academies of Practice (NAP) inducts a select number of healthcare practitioners, scholars, and public policy experts into the organization as Distinguished Fellows. This honor is based on significant and enduring contributions to the field of IPE sustained over a minimum of ten years that demonstrates commitment to advancing interprofessional practice and accessible, affordable healthcare for all.

Dr. Joseph Zorek, LINC Director and Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, was inducted into NAP’s Pharmacy Academy in 2021 as a Distinguished Scholar and Fellow. During this year’s Annual Membership Banquet and Induction Ceremony held in Washington, DC on April 1, 2023, Dr. Zorek was honored with the Emerging Interprofessional NAP Member of the Year Award. This award recognizes one early to mid-career NAP fellow annually for outstanding contributions and future promise to the field of IPE and NAP.
