October LINC Events Build Community

Inspired by the faculty- and staff-focused Community of LINC Scholars events, the LINC Student Council launched an interprofessional networking series for students on October 25. A total of 39 students representing 5 schools and 12 educational programs participated in the event, where they learned about, from, and with one another through conversation and games, including interprofessional human bingo!

On October 27, faculty and staff then connected at the third Community of LINC Scholars event of 2023. Attendees networked over lunch and celebrated recent accomplishments, including peer-reviewed publications by Dr. Temple Ratcliffe and co-authors from the LINC Clinical IPE Initiative and Dr. Melanie Stone and co-authors from their 2021 LINC seed grant. Dr. Angela Kennedy described how an interprofessional team she is a member of utilized pilot data from their 2022 LINC seed grant to secure a $30,000 Interprofessional Collaboration Research Grant from the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions.
