Highlights from January’s LINC Community-Building Events

In January, the LINC Student Council hosted its second event in the LINC Interprofessional Student Social Series. 104 students from 9 programs across 5 schools collaborated in interprofessional groups to create Valentine’s Cards for distribution to patients at Methodist Children’s Hospital. The event showcased different programs and healthcare perspectives coming together to support a charitable cause. Students enjoyed the lively atmosphere and camaraderie.

During the same week, contributors to LINC gathered for the first Community of LINC Scholars event of 2024. Attendees celebrated a recent publication in the Journal of Interprofessional Care titled “A university-wide seed grant program accelerates interprofessional education through faculty and staff engagement,” which was co-first-authored by Drs. Rekha Kar and Rebecca Moote. Attendees spent time discussing the LINC Seed Grant Program, including its impact to date, and exchanged insights on future directions.
